Wednesday Night Bible Class

Bible Study - John.png

Welcome, everyone!  We’re diving into the heart of the Gospel of John. As we explore this powerful book, we’ll see that John wrote with one main aim: that we might come to faith in Jesus Christ (John 20:30-31). His goal was not just to tell the story of Jesus’ life, but to help us truly believe in Him, understand who He is, and embrace the eternal life He offers.

Why was this Gospel written?

  • For Believers: John wrote to strengthen and encourage those who already believed in Jesus, helping them grow deeper in their faith.

  • For Skeptics: He also wrote for those who were unsure, offering evidence and insights that would guide them toward belief in Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of the world.

Throughout the Gospel, John uses key words and themes that hold incredible significance. Words like “belief,” “life,” “light,” and “Word” are more than just theological concepts—they’re invitations to us today. As we look at these words, we’ll explore how they apply to our lives in the 21st century, helping us to not only understand the Gospel but to live it out.

By the end of this class, you’ll have a deeper understanding of John’s purpose in writing and how his message still speaks to us today. Whether you’re strengthening your faith or seeking answers, John’s Gospel offers us the path to knowing Jesus more intimately and living in the light of His truth. Let’s dive in!
