The Gospel According to Mark 

Mark’s central message is clear:
Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God, and his identity is revealed most fully through his suffering, death, and resurrection. Throughout this Gospel, people struggle to understand who Jesus truly is—even his disciples. But as we study Mark, we discover that understanding Jesus requires not only hearing his teachings but following his path of humility, faith, and sacrifice.

As we go through this book, pay attention to how Mark shows Jesus’ compassion, authority, and power, as well as the cost and challenge of true discipleship. Mark invites us not just to read about Jesus, but to respond to him.
